Russell Gust, MS, CSCS, ACSM-CET
Russell Gust holds a Master's degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Dakota, where he also served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Fighting Sioux Athletics for 3 years. He attended undergraduate school at Minnesota State University - Moorhead where he attained a B.S. in Fitness and Sport Science. He has been with Trinity Health since 2002.
Russell has over 22 years of experience in the world of fitness and performance enhancement. He has assisted people of all fitness levels in reaching their goals, including geriatric, physical rehabilitation, High School, NCAA Division I and II and professional athletes, cancer patients, stroke and MS patients, weekend warriors, and the "average Joe".
Russell believes in a comprehensive approach to wellness, including physical activity, nutrition education, and behavior modification strategies. He makes certain that each and every one of his clients achieves some level of improvement in their overall wellness. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. This credential has allowed him to work with cancer patients in a whole new way, assisting them in improving strength, energy and overall quality of life.
Nicole J. Manuel, BS, ISSA-FT
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nicole graduated from New Mexico State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science. Before earning her degree in Kinesiology, she was originally an Athletic Training major at the university. Working as an Athletic Trainer she got the opportunity to work with both the Football and Rodeo teams at the University. She also had the pleasure of working with a variety of other sports teams and individual athletes during clinic hours.
Though Nicole was not a collegiate athlete, she did compete in CrossFit and Power Lifting competitions in college, giving her a unique perception on different fundamentals and skills for overall exercise and fitness. Her passion lies in athletics and getting the opportunity to help athletes of all ages become stronger, faster and more passionate about their individual sport. A certified personal trainer, Nicole has a passion for working with a wide range of individuals to help them reach their full potential in all areas of health and fitness.
